Irvine Valley's women's basketball team stayed unbeaten in Orange Empire Conference play with a 100-49 win at Orange Coast on Friday night.
The Lasers, ranked third in Southern California, improved their record to 17-3 overall and 6-0 in conference.
It was the team's eighth straight win overall.
It was also Irvine Valley's second time scoring 100 points in a game this season and fifth time it has won a contest by 40 points or more on the year.
Irvine Valley led, 30-13, after the first quarter and, 52-21, at halftime.
The Lasers scored their most points in a quarter in the game in the third with 31 points to go up, 83-32, heading into the final period.
IVC shot 54.1 percent (40 of 74) from the field as a team for the game and 44.8 percent (13 of 29) from the three-point line.
The Lasers finished with 24 assists and out-rebounded Orange Coast, 54-30.
Irvine Valley had six players score in double figures, led by sophomore forward Kasey Smit with 26 points. She added eight rebounds and four assists.
Freshman guard Lexi Vail had 15 points, 10 assists and three steals, freshman guard Cydnie Danan added 13 points, nine rebounds and four assists, sophomore guard Mary Dishoian had 12 points and 14 rebounds, freshman guard Bryanna Espiritu finished with 12 points and freshman guard Jessica Quirarte contributed 10 points for the Lasers.
Orange Coast (1-15, 1-4) got 13 points and nine rebounds from Isabella Hollibaugh and 12 points from Sydney Driggs in the loss.
Irvine Valley plays again on Wednesday night, hosting Riverside in a conference game at 5 p.m.
