IVC improved its record to 4-0 and has yet to lose a set this season.
Irvine Valley, which is the defending state champion, also improved its win streak to 31 dating back to 2016.
The Lasers got off to a slow start on Wednesday, but pulled away in the second set and dominated the third.
Irvine Valley hit an impressive .420 on the night, which was their second best percentage in a match this season as a team (IVC hit .422 vs. Miramar on Sept. 7).
And coach Tom Pestolesi once again got the balance he is aiming for on the attack.
Vortouni, Griego and Miller each finished with nine kills. Kruse had six kills.
Vortouni added six digs and four aces and Kruse had five digs and two aces for the Lasers.
Miller hit .563 on the night.
Sophomore middle blocker Jacqueline Wolf also had seven swings and chipped in five kills and two blocks. She hit a team-best .571.
Freshman Truth Hafey ran Irvine Valley's offense with 32 assists. She also had four kills in four attempts, two blocks and two aces.
Irvine Valley hosts Saddleback this Friday to start Orange Empire Conference action at home at 6 p.m.
Saddleback is looking for its first win of the season. The Gauchos are 1-5 so far.
