College: Was named first team all-Orange Empire Conference last season after averaging 11.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.4 steals for the Lasers…Ranked seventh in the conference in scoring and led the conference in assists with 128…Was also fourth in the conference in free throw shooting at 74.2 percent…Led Irvine Valley in scoring and assists…Scored in double figures in 19 games with a season-high 26 points in a game against Ventura…Topped 20 points three times…Had at least five assists in 13 games with a season-high nine in a win over Citrus…Recorded a season-high nine rebounds twice and a season-high three steals in eight games.

High School: Was a three-year varsity player at Murrieta Valley…Averaged 12.1 points, 3.7 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game as a senior…Set the school’s career assist record…Helped lead Murrieta Valley to its first league title in 10 years and was named MVP of the Southwestern League after the team had a league record of 9-1…Said her best game was when Murrieta Valley defeated Temecula Chaparral her senior year by one point, handing Chaparral its first loss in 20 games…Earned scholar athlete honors…Was also picked as a first team all-Inland Valley and first team all-Riverside County player as a senior…Competed in the Inland Valley and Riverside County all-star games…Averaged 8 points and 2.5 assists as a junior.

Personal: Wants to continue her basketball career at Cal Poly or Cal State Monterey Bay and study sociology...Says her favorite athlete is Kobe Bryant and her favorite subject is Spanish...The people she most admires are her parents…Her goal for the season is to just win...Daughter of Lourdes and Jeff Wharton.
