August 03, 2024Irvine Valley sophomore right-handed pitcher Chris Cody has committed to Chaminde University in Hawaii. Cody had a record of 1-2 with one save for the Lasers this past season. IVC finished with a record of 14-26 overall. -
Baseball's Gavin Grutzmacher is off to Coppin State University
July 23, 2024Gavin Grutzmacher, a standout infielder for Irvine Valley this past season, has committed to NCAA Division I Coppin State University. Grutzmacher is headed to a Coppin State team that plays in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. -
Alumni Report: Jeremy Wiegman finishes up at Campbell
June 30, 2024Former Irvine Valley standout pitcher Jeremy Wiegman finished up at NCAA Division I Campbell University in North Carolina this past spring. The Camels had a record of 77-37 in the two years that Wiegman was with the program. -
Baseball stars Caden Byers and Shane Stafford off to UNLV
June 26, 2024Sophomore baseball standouts Caden Byers (pitcher) and Shane Stafford (outfielder) are headed to the University of Nevada Las Vegas program. Both were all-Orange Empire Conference players for the Lasers this spring. -
Irvine Valley spring 2025 baseball schedule released
June 23, 2024Irvine Valley plays its non-traditional schedule from late September through November and then has its official 2025 games next spring, starting with a two-game set against Long Beach City on Jan. 24 and 25. -
Alumni Report: Wyatt Zadoorian sees innings at Occidental
June 08, 2024Left-hander Wyatt Zadoorian pitched 20.2 innings for Division III Occidental this spring and ended with 20 strikeouts. He made 13 appearances for the Tigers and finished with a record of 1-0. He was a top reliever for IVC in 2023. -
Standout catcher Jimmy Zakhar signs with UC Santa Barbara
June 06, 2024Irvine Valley sophomore catcher Jimmy Zakhar is headed to NCAA Division I and Big West Conference champion UC Santa Barbara. Zakhar was one of the best defensive catchers in the Orange Empire Conference this year. -
Alumni Report: Nolan Cusey shines at Johnson University
May 29, 2024Former Irvine Valley two-year starting infielder Nolan Cusey had a standout junior year at NAIA Johnson University Tennessee. He batted .343 overall and .347 in conference with 29 RBI and 62 total bases on the season. -

May 24, 2024Former Irvine Valley star outfielder Jack Haggerty helps lead Division II Texas Permian Basin to the NCAA Championship Tournament. Haggerty batted .364 during the regular season, scored 60 runs and had 72 hits. -

May 21, 2024Irvine Valley former standout first baseman Casey Kudell was named to an All-Pacific West Conference team recently at Chaminade in Hawaii. Kudell hit .331 on the season and never dipped below a .300 average on the year. -
Alumni Report: Noah Madole bats .441 for Vanguard baseball
May 20, 2024Former Irvine Valley standout Noah Madole had a solid junior year at Vanguard, batting .441 (26 of 59) with 14 RBI. The outfielder also finished with a .493 on base percentage and a .695 slugging percentage for the Lions. -
Pitcher Matthew Wilson off to New Mexico Highlands University
May 15, 2024Irvine Valley sophomore baseball player Matthew Wilson has committed to NCAA Division II New Mexico Highlands University. The left-hander out of Marina High in Huntington Beach saw action in nine games for the Lasers. -

April 30, 2024Irvine Valley has right-handed pitcher Caden Byers selected first team all-conference and center fielder Shane Stafford, catcher Aaron Serrato and right fielder Kade Murray picked second team all-OEC on Monday. -

Baseball team explodes for 13 runs in the sixth in a 16-9 win
February 23, 2024Irvine Valley's baseball team beat Grossmont, 16-9, Friday afternoon at home to move two games over .500. IVC scored 13 runs in the bottom of the inning - all with two outs - to take control. The Lasers host Mesa on Saturday.
