Irvine Valley's flag football team went on the road and defeated rival Saddleback, 20-13, in the stadium on Friday.
IVC's record moved to 11-3 overall and Saddleback went to 12-5 overall.
The star of the game for Irvine Valley was fresshman athlete Chase Dionio, who intercepted a pass near the goal line and returned it all the way down the field for a touchdown.
Freshman quarterback Akayla Chaple also had a solid game for the Lasers, throwing another two touchdowns.
Irvine Valley got out to a solid lead, but had to hold on at the end against the Bobcats.
The Lasers finish their inaugural 2025 season next Wednesday with a scrimmage on the road at Moreno Valley.
