No. 1 Story of Year - Annie Mitchem named national player of year
August 21, 2014The freshman middle blocker was just the third player in California community college history to be named the national 2-year player of the year by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. She led IVC to one of its best ever seasons. -

Women's volleyball captains moving on to four-year schools
June 04, 2014Irvine Valley sophomore libero Becky Moodie is heading to Cal Baptist and sophomore middle blocker Haley Whyte will be playing at Whittier College in the fall. The duo helped IVC finish third in the state this past season. -
Becky Moodie and Steven Le named scholar athletes of year
June 03, 2014Moodie was a two-year starter in volleyball. She helped IVC finish third in the state during the indoor season last fall and win the state title on the sand this spring. Le helped the Lasers to a conference title and a runner-up finish at state. -
Men's volleyball team falls to OCC on Dig Pink Night
March 14, 2014The Lasers drop their second straight match in conference, losing to the Pirates, 25-22, 25-23, 25-18 at home on Friday. IVC's women's volleyball team ran the Dig Pink event with money raised going to the Side-Out Foundation. -
Tom Pestolesi to receive honor from University of Hawaii
January 16, 2014The Long-time IVC women's and men's volleyball coach is being recognized as the alumni of the year by his college alma mater. Pestolesi was an All-American player for the Rainbow Warriors. -
Annie Mitchem named Two-Year Volleyball Player of the Year
January 06, 2014The 6-2 Mitchem was already named the Orange Empire Conference Player of the Year, All-State and All-American after leading IVC to a conference title and third-place in the state. -
Women's volleyball team finishes third in the state
December 08, 2013The Lasers, seeded first out of Southern California, fall to the North's top team, Cabrillo, in the semifinals in five sets and then fall to Grossmont in four sets to end the tournament. -
Women's volleyball team sweeps state championships opener
December 07, 2013The Lasers start the state event at Foothill College with a sweep of American River. Annie Mitchem finishes with 11 kills and Alexis Radecki adds 10 kills in the win. IVC will take on Cabrillo in the semifinals tomorrow -

December 05, 2013Annie Mitchem is named Orange Empire Conference MVP and Hailey Jones, Becky Moodie and Marisa Doran are each named all-conference first team. Tom Pestolesi is picked as the conference coach of the year. -

December 03, 2013The Lasers, ranked No. 1 in Southern California and second in the state, beat Santa Barbara in the Southern California Regional Final on Tuesday night at IVC. It will be Irvine Valley's first trip to the state tournament since 2009. -

November 30, 2013The Lasers, seeded first in the Southern California Regional Playoffs, beat conference rival and No. 8 Fullerton in straight sets on Saturday to move on the regional final. It was IVC's 18th sweep of the season. -
