Kevin Olsen returns to the Florida men's basketball staff
August 04, 2025Kevin Olsen, who played at Irvine Valley during the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons, has been named director of basketball strategy and analytics at the University of Florida. Olsen was a starter and team captain for the Lasers. -
The 2025-26 IVC men's basketball schedule has been released
July 22, 2025Irvine Valley, under first-year head coach finished with a record of 17-14 overall and made the So. Cal. Regional playoffs. The Lasers were led last year by now returning post player Matt Mowers, who was named all-conference.

Former Irvine Valley standout is headed to Chapman University
July 17, 2025Former Irvine Valley College all-Orange Empire Conference player Luke Farrington is off to Chapman University. Farrington played at NCAA Division II Hawaii Hilo, but is back to Orange County to compete for the Panthers.

Alumni Report: David Ogunlade contributes at Hastings
June 08, 2025Former Irvine Valley standout men's basketball player David Ogunlade was a big part of the rotation at NAIA Hastings College in Nebraska this past season. Ogunlade played in 25 games and started 15 for the Broncos.

June 07, 2025Irvine Valley first-team, all-Orange Empire Conference player Jesse Stines was key for NCAA Division I University of Alaska Anchorage this year. Stines played in 30 of 31 games and averaged 4.6 points and 3.2 rebounds overall.

Alumni Report: Henderson stars at Cal State San Bernardino
May 30, 2025Former Irvine Valley standout men's basketball player Charlie Henderson finished up his college career at NCAA Division II Cal State San Bernardino. He averaged 10.0 points and 6.1 rebounds as the Coyotes went 23-12 overall.

May 13, 2025Irvine Valley's Orange Empire Conferee Character Champion award winners are women's soccer player Jordan Madison and men's basketball player Josiah Reed. Both stood out on and off the fields and courts for the Lasers.

Former Laser Austin Loeb named new head coach at Crean
April 29, 2025Former Irvine Valley men's basketball player Austin Loeb has been named the new head coach at Crean Lutheran High in Irvine. Loeb played at IVC during the 2011-12 season. He has been an assistant at Crean for seven years.

Four men's basketball players named to all-conference teams
April 18, 2025Irvine Valley's Matt Mowers was named first-team, all-OEC, Josiah Reed and Allen Moser were picked second team and Ammon Allan was an honorable mention selection recently for all-Orange Empire Conference honors.

March 13, 2025Former Irvine Valley standout basketball player Aaron Strings helped Westcliff capture the Pac West title. Strings starred for IVC during the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons. He was named an all-Orange Empire Conference player.

February 26, 2025Irvine Valley, seeded No. 24, falls to No. 9 Chaffey, 84-73, in the So. Cal. Regionals Wednesday on the road. The Lasers end their season with a record of 17-14 overall. Matt Mowers and Yanis Aldeguer lead the Lasers with 16 points each.

February 21, 2025Irvine Valley earns the consolation title of the first Orange Empire Conference Tournament with a 59-53 win over rival Saddleback Friday at home. The Lasers took two straight in the OEC tourney and have a 17-13 overall record.

February 07, 2025Irvine Valley starts the first half strong and goes on to beat Orange Coast, 83-63, in a decisive Orange Empire Conference victory Friday night at home. IVC led by as many as 26 points in the game and moved to 14-12 overall.
