Irvine Valley athletics program places 14th among state's best
June 01, 2016Irvine Valley's athletics program placed 14th in the state for the 2015-16 school year among community colleges in the state. IVC was once again the highest finisher among non-football institutions. -
Volleyball players Radecki, Van Liefde, Costello named all-PCAC
April 25, 2016Irvine Valley's Kyle Radecki is named second team all-Pacific Coast Athletic Conference and Peter Van Liefde and Garret Costello are each named third team. IVC finished the year with a 11-9 overall record.

Men's volleyball team honors sophomores, sweeps Miramar
April 08, 2016Irvine Valley thanks Robert Ryley and Peter Van Liefde for two great years at IVC Friday night at home and then goes out and beats Miramar, 25-19, 25-16, 25-13. The Lasers also stay alive in the race for a playoff berth.

Men's volleyball team makes quick work of Palomar
April 01, 2016Irvine Valley sweeps Palomar, 25-12, 25-13, 25-17, in a match that takes just an hour on Friday at home. With the win, IVC stays in a three-way tie for third place in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference. The Lasers play Grossmont next.

March 25, 2016Irvine Valley runs into one of the top teams in the state and falls in three sets, 25-18, 25-20, 25-19 in a conference match on Friday at home. IVC plays again next Wednesday at San Diego City and then hosts Palomar Friday.

March 18, 2016Irvine Valley gets beat at home by a streaking San Diego Mesa team, 20-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-21, in a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference match at home on Friday night. IVC had won three straight matches going into the contest.

March 11, 2016Irvine Valley earns a wild five-set 29-27, 25-19, 17-25, 23-25, 15-13 win over Grossmont in a Pacific Coast Athletic Association match on Friday at home. Garret Costello leads the way with 14 kills, while Kyle Radecki adds 13 kills.

March 09, 2016Irvine Valley records 54 kills and hits over .400 as a team in a 25-20, 25-19, 25-21 Pacific Coast Athletic Conference win at Palomar on Wednesday. Kyle Radecki has 18 kills and Garret Costello adds 11 kills in the IVC win.

March 07, 2016Three days after its match was postponed because of a power outage, Irvine Valley loses to Orange Coast, 25-14, 25-13, 25-20, on Saturday night at OCC. The Lasers are led by Kyle Radecki's eight kills. IVC plays at Palomar Wednesday.

March 04, 2016After having its match postponed at Orange Coast on Wednesday because of a power outage, Irvine Valley sweeps San Diego City, 28-26, 25-13, 26-24 at home on Friday. The Lasers played the big points well to pick up the victory.

February 26, 2016Irvine Valley fights and sends the match into a fifth set, but falls, 25-22, 20-25, 20-25, 16-25, 19-17 to Santa Barbara City on Friday at home. Kyle Radecki paces the Lasers with 22 kills and five blocks. IVC starts OEC play next week.

February 20, 2016Irvine Valley wins the final two sets and takes the match, 25-16, 21-25, 22-25, 28-26, 15-13 on Friday at Moorpark. Garret Costello has a season-high 21 kills for the Lasers. IVC is slated to play in a quad event at OCC on Saturday.

February 17, 2016After dropping the first set, Irvine Valley wins the next three and comes away with a 23-25, 25-16, 25-20, 25-19 win at home on Wednesday night. Kyle Radecki finishes with 12 kills and Jake Heinrichs chips in 10 kills for the Lasers.

February 05, 2016Irvine Valley has its chances, especially in the first set, but loses, 28-26, 25-21, 21-25, 25-16, to El Camino at home on Friday afternoon. Kyle Radecki paces IVC with 14 kills. The Lasers play again Feb. 17 at home vs. LA Pierce.
