Former Irvine Valley two-year starting first baseman Casey Kudelll had another standout season at NCAA Division II Chaminade University in Hawaii.
Kudell, out of Irvine High, started in all of Chaminade's 50 games.
The senior batted .274 on the year, which ranked fourth on the team.
Kudell had 48 hits, scored 30 runs with 12 doubles, two home runs and 30 RBI.
He walked 24 times, had 66 total bases and had an on base percentage of .382.
The team had a record of 18-32 overall.
In 2024 at Chaminade, Kudell batted .331.
He had 55 hits, 32 RBI, 27 runs, 30 walks and 17 extra base hits, which included 15 doubles.
The Silverswords completed the first year of their return to the diamond after a 44-year absence with a 15-33 mark.
Kudell was named all-Orange Empire Conference after the 2022 season at IVC.
The 6-1 first baseman hit .378 with a .500 on base percentage in 2022. He had 45 hits and drove in 25 runs.
Kudell played in 38 games, led the team with 26 runs scored, and had three doubles, one triple and two home runs at the plate.
Irvine Valley finished the 2022 season with a record of 17-23 record overall.
In 2023 for the Lasers, Kudell batted .245 with 16 RBI and played in 35 games overall.
