August 18, 2017Irvine Valley's men's volleyball team bounced back from not making the playoffs in 2016 to being ranked No. 1 in the state for much of the 2017 regular season. The Lasers took second in conference and made the playoffs. -
Men's volleyball player Cody Hermanson signs with Ottawa
August 02, 2017Irvine Valley sophomore men's volleyball player will be headed to NCAA Division II Ottawa University in Kansas in the fall. The outside hitter played a key role in helping IVC finish with a record of 15-4 overall and make the playoffs.

April 20, 2017Irvine Valley, which finished the regular season No. 2 in the state, is the second seed in the CCCAA State Championship Playoffs and hosts No. 7 El Camino on Friday at 6 p.m. IVC beat the Warriors in four sets earlier this year.

April 16, 2017Second-ranked Irvine Valley loses the first set, but comes back and wins, 21-25, 25-18, 25-20, 26-24, in an Orange Empire Conference match over sixth-ranked Fullerton on Friday at home. The playoffs begin next Friday.

Volleyball coach Tom Pestolesi headed to Hawaii this fall
June 22, 2016Irvine Valley state champion coach Tom Pestolesi will be a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Hawaii this fall as part of his sabbatical. Pestolesi guided the IVC women's volleyball team to its first-ever state title in 2014. He has also won men's volleyball and beach state titles with the Lasers.
