Flag football's Allison Faggella off to University of Redlands

Irvine Valley's women's flag football team, which was one of the first squads to start a program in the state in 2025, has now had its first official committ to a four-year school.

IVC sophomore Allison Faggella has been offerred by the University of Redlands.

Faggella has played two years of flag football at Irvine Valley and also competed with the Laser women's basketball team during the 2024-25 season.

The wide receiver and linebacker out of Corona del Mar High is headed to a Redlands team that has a record of 9-7 overall so far this season.

Irvine Valley (11-4 overall) plays again on Apr. 7 at Norco at 3 p.m.
