Irvine Valley standout student-athlete on and off the field Jenna Hannum was recently named to the new Orange Empire Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Hannum was a standout freshman midfielder for the Lasers' women's soccer team this past season.
She helped lead the Lasers to a 11-9-1 record overall and a fifth place finish in conference.
Hannum, out of Corona del Mar High, played in 19 of the team's 21 matches and started in 15 games with one goal and two assists, while being a solid all-around contributor throughout the campaign.
She is joined on the committee by women's soccer player Makayla Worcester from Santiago Canyon as Vice President, and men's cross country runner Dyeem Tolbert from Riverside as the Secretary.
The trio will look to talk and meet about the best ways to help student-athletes across all of the men's and women's sports in the Orange Empire Conference communicate with coaches and staff, focus on studies and help their fellow student-athletes move on to bright futures.
Great job Jenna!
