Irvine Valley's women's volleyball team has found its groove.
The Lasers won their fourth straight match on Wednesday with a 25-10, 25-17, 25-20 victory over Fullerton in an Orange Empire Conference match.
Irvine Valley improved its record to 6-7 overall and 6-2 in the OEC.
IVC is tied for second in the conference at 6-2 with Golden West and Saddleback.
Sophomore outside hitter Alya Mersin had a big night for the Lasers. She finished with 11 kills and hit .476 in the match. Mersin also added seven digs and one block.
Freshman outside hitter Emma Mendel added six kills and freshman middle Sam Schellenberg had five kills, hit .444 and contributed three blocks for the Lasers.
Freshman setter and outside setter Dalilah Rivero helped run the offense with freshman setter Tori Esko.
Rivero finished with four kills, nine assists and six digs and Esko had eight assists and two blocks.
Irvine Valley plays again Friday night at home against Santiago Canyon in a conference match at 6 p.m.
