Irvine Valley's women's volleyball team continued to battle in Orange Empire Conference play on Wednesday night.
The Lasers improved their record to 9-9 overall and 9-4 in conference with three matches left in the regular season with a 25-8, 25-22, 25-19 victory at Cypress.
Irvine Valley is currently the 17th ranked team in Southern California and in the playoff mix.
IVC hit an impressive .321 as a team on the night on Wednesday.
Sophomore outside hitter Alya Mersin led IVC with 14 kills and hit .423 on the night (14-3-26).
Freshman outside hitter and setter Dalilah Rivero added nine kills, hit .562 (9-0-16) and added 14 assists, six aces and seven digs in the victory.
And freshman middle bocker Jazlynn Fu contributed seven kills, hit .417 (7-2-12).
Irvine Valley is at Santa Ana in a conference match on Friday at 6 p.m.
