Men's volleyball captures second straight, defeats El Camino

Irvine Valley's men's volleyball team captured its second win of the week Friday night at home.

After taking down Fullerton on the road in three sets on Wednesday, the Lasers rolled in the third and fourth sets in a 26-24, 17-25, 25-20, 25-18 victory over El Camino.

Irvine Valley improved its record to 3-3 overall on the year.

IVC received 13 kills from freshman outside hitter Conor Engelbrecht. He hit .355 on the night and also added 10 digs.

Freshman middle blocker Christian Wilkinson contributed eight kills and four digs and sophomore middle blocker Joshua Damianopoulos had seven kills and three digs for the Lasers.

Sophomore libero Cage Gonzalez ended with a team-high 15 digs for Irvine Valley.

The Lasers play at in a big match at Santa Monica next Wednesday at 1 p.m.
