The Irvine Valley men's tennis team is ready to get back at it in 2026.
The 2025 Lasers wrote their names into the history books with an incredible run at the 3C2A State Championship at Ojai/Ventura last April.
The Lasers, under head coach Ross Duncan, dominated the 123rd edition of Ojai event.
Irvine Valley had teammates take on each other in the singles final with sophomores Nick Grove and Luis Moros competing.
Grove claimed the singles title, 6-1, 6-2.
Grove then teammed with IVC sophomore Luciano Pardo to win the doubles title over Foothill's Keisuke Ariga and Abdala Quintero, 6-4, 6-1.
It was Grove and Pardo's second state title in a row.
A day earlier, Irvine Valley captured the team state championship with a 5-2 victory over Foothill.
Irvine Valley's 2026 schedule begins on Feb. 10 with a scrimmage against Stanton University at home at 2 p.m.
IVC then takes on Mt. San Antonio, who the Orange Empire Conference is hosting this season, on Feb. 19 at 2 p.m.
In all, Irvine Valley has nine regular season matches with the one outside of coference match against Bakersfield on Mar. 5 at 1 p.m.
