Men's tennis team still ranked No. 1 heading into big week

Irvine Valley's men's tennis team has one of its biggest weeks of the season coming up.

The Lasers take on Riverside on Tuesday on the road and then host Fullerton on Thursday in key Orange Empire Conference matches.

In the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association 3C2A rankings, the Lasers continued to be ranked No. 1 in Southern California.

The Lasers won the state title in 2025.

But Riverside is ranked No. 2 in SoCal in the latest rankings and Fullerton is No. 78

Irvine Valley has a record of 7-1 overall with their only loss coming to a four-year school. The Lasers are also 5-0 in conference.

IVC edged Riverside, 5-4, the first time around this season on Feb. 24.
