Irvine Valley star freshmen tennis players Philip Neuman and Steven Anderson were both recognized as Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Americans for the California Community College Athletic Association in both singles and doubles.
Irvine Valley sophomores Nevin McCann and Bradley Yung were also selected to the All-American team in doubles.
Neuman, Anderson, McCann and Yung helped IVC capture the 3C2A state team title with a 5-0 victory over Foothill on Apr. 22. And Irvine Valley won the prestigious Ojai Cup for the community college men's division.
IVC also won team state and cup honors in 2025.
Neuman and Anderson were also the two best singles players in the state this past season.
The two reached the state singles championship match at Libbey Park in Ojai and faced off where Neuman edged Anderson, 7-6(4), 6-3, in a back and forth contest.
McCann and Yung took the doubles title with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Ventura's CXaua Coimbra and Abladj Mondroha.
In the men's doubles division, Irvine Valley's Yung and McCann delivered an impressive performance in their 6-4, 6-4 win over Ventura College's Caua Coimbra and Abladj Mondroha.
The two helped Irvine Valley to a record of 14-1 overall and an Orange Empire Conference title this season. IVC's only defeat was to a four-year college.
Neuman was also named the OEC most valuable player and Neuman and Anderson were selected as the doubles team of the year in the conference.
The team state championship was the fifth in IVC program history under coach Ross Duncan.
