Former Irvine Valley standout infielder Nick Madole had a solid season for NCAA Division II Biola University this past spring.
The senior played in 39 games and started 24 contests for the Eagles, who finished with a record of 26-26 overall and went 24-24 in the PacWest Conference.
He batted .295 with 28 hits, 26 runs, six doubles, two home runs and 16 RBI.
Madole finished with a .421 slugging percentage, .404 on base percentage and stole five bases.
And he helped close out senior day in walkoff fashion against the No. 4 ranked Point Loma Sea Lions.
Biola finished with a record of 26-27 overall.
Madole batted .214 with a .633 OPS.
He also added 33 runs, walked 20 times and had 15 RBI.
Madole was the starting shortstop for the Lasers in the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
He batted .279 overall with 41 hits, including three doubles, two home runs and 17 RBI on the year in 2023 for Irvine Valley.
Madole had a .403 on base percentage and also stole six bases.
And he was even better in Orange Empire Conference play for the Lasers in 2023.
He batted .308 in conference action with two doubles and eight RBI.
Madole also had a team-best .427 on base percentage in OEC play.
The former Huntington Beach High standout had 12 multi-hit games, including nine in conference.
In the 2022 season, Madole finished with six doubles, three triples, one home run and 21 RBI.
