Former Irvine Valley first baseman and current Chico State standout Jackson Snitko was recently named to the Eastern Conference roster for the 2026 Pospect League All-Star Game.
Snitko has played late this spring and into summer for the Decatur Bean Ballers.
The home run derby will take place on July 6 at Loeb Stadium in Lafayette, Ind.
With the actual game happening on July 7 also in Lafayette.
The game features 30 players from each of the Eastern and Western conferenes.
Each conference's roster was built with 12 pitchers and 18 position players, two at each lineup position, and every Prospect League team represented.
The All-Star Game will air live on the Prospect League Network beginning at 6:40 p.m. ET.
Decatur, Ill., was selected as the league's latest location last fall.
The 2026 season, which is the 17th in league history started in late May.
So far this season with the Bean Ballers, Snitko is batting .291 with 15 runs scored and 18 RBI. He has played in 31 games so far over the summer.
At Chico State last spring, Snitko finished the season with a .292 batting average, 40 hits, nine doubles, 24 runs scored and 24 RBI.
In his sophomore year at Irvine Valley in 2025, Snitko batted .291, and finished with 39 hits, 12 doubles, one home run, 23 runs, a solid 36 walks and an incredible .437 on base percentage.
Snitko also had a .403 slugging percentage for the Lasers.
