Irvine Valley's women's basketball team earned its 21st victory of the season with a 75-47 triumph over Riverside Tuesday, but even more importantly honored sophomore standouts Symantha Barnett, Neryah Lokeni, Alexis Price, Kivonni Williams and Gianna DeForest.
Those five players have helped the Lasers to 37 wins over the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons so far.
IVC has three games left in the regular season this campaign and is 21-4 overall.
The Lasers are also fighting for an Orange Empire Conference title.
Last season, IVC reached the second round of the So. Cal. regional playoffs with Barnett, Lokeni, Price, Williams and DeForest.
On Tuesday, after the presentation, Lokeni and Price each finished with 16 points with Lokeni adding seven rebounds and seven steals. Price also contributed five rebounds and three assists.
Barnett finished with 13 points, three rebounds, five assists and two steals and Williams ended with 12 points, five rebounds and two steals for the Lasers.
Irvine Valley led, 40-16, at the half to take control.
IVC shot 43.5 percent (27 of 62) from the field as a team in the game and converted 15 of 18 free throws.
The Lasers also turned the Tigers over 28 times and turned that into 24 points.
Riverside was paced by Brianna Ruelas, who finished with 14 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Irvine Valley has maybe its most important game of the season on Thursday at home, taking on Orange Coast at 7 p.m.
