The Irvine Valley women's basketball team improved its record to 19-3 overall and moved into a tie for first place in the Orange Empire Conference with a 69-42 win over Fullerton Wednesday night at home.
The Lasers have won four games in a row and six of their last seven contests.
IVC sits in a tie for first place in the OEC with Saddleback at 5-1.
The Bobcats dropped their first game in conference play on Wednesday to Orange Coast.
IVC has a big conference game at Cypress on Friday night at 7 p.m.
And Irvine Valley led by as many as 27 points late in the fourth quarter.
IVC shot 43.3 percent (26 for 60) as a team in the game and helped limit Fullerton to just a 27.4 percent (17 of 62) clip.
The Lasers were led by sophomore wing Alexis Price, who finished with 25 points, eight rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal.
Sophomore post player Gianna DeForest also scored in double figures, ending with 10 points and adding six rebounds.
And freshman guard Lexy Gallagos and sophomore forward Kivonni Williams each contributed eight points with Williams also having seven rebounds and two steals.
Freshman guard Princess Mendoza also had a nice night for the Lasers with six points, 13 rebounds, four assists and one steal.
