Irvine Valley's women's basketball team picked up its biggest win of the season on Wednesday night.
The Lasers, ranked No. 11 in the state, knocked off No. 9 Orange Coast, 67-57, on the road to improve their record to 17-3 overall and 3-1 in the Orange Empire Conference.
Irvine Valley trailed, 34-31, at the half, but out-scored the Pirates, 36-23, over the final two periods.
IVC shot 46.9 percent (23 of 49) from the field as a team and held OCC to just a 36.5 percent (19 of 52) from the field for the game.
IVC had three players score in double figures in the game, led by sophomore guard Symantha Barnett with 23 points.
She went 7 of 11 from the field and made 9 of 12 free throws. Barnett added seven rebounds, four assists and four steals in the contest.
Sophomore forward Alexis Price chipped in with 17 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and three blocks for the Lasers.
And sophomore forward Kivonni Williams ended with 10 points, eight rebounds and three assists for IVC.
Orange Coast was led by Lexi Mercado with 16 points. OCC's record went to 14-6 overall and 2-2 in conference.
Irvine Valley plays again on Friday night, hosting Santa Ana at 7 p.m.
