Irvine Valley College's Claire Gocke and Folsom Lake's Ali Mollet were named the 2025-26 California Community College Women's Basketball Coacges Association Coaches of the Year, announced on Wednesday night at the association's annual Banquet of Champions held at College of the Sequoias in Visalia.
Earning the Colleen Riley South Coach of the Year honor, Gocke directed the Lasers to the Orange Empire Conference title and the No. 2 seed in the SoCal Regionals. Based on regular season accomplishments, IVC finished with a 24-4 record. The Lasers have since advanced to this year's 3C2A State Women's Basketball Championship tournament beginning today.
Receiving the Tom Martinez North Coach of the Year award, Mollet has taken a young Falcons program to great heights after she guided FLC to the Big 8 Conference crown and a No. 2 seed in the NorCal Regionals. After a 26-2 regular season, Mollet saw Folsom Lake reach its now third consecutive trip to the state quarterfinals.
Gocke directed the Lasers to the Orange Empire Conference title and the No. 2 seed in the SoCal Regionals.
Based on regular season accomplishments, IVC finished with a 24-4 record.
The Lasers advanced to this year's 3C2A State Women's Basketball Championship tournament beginning Thursday. IVC takes on Laney in the opening round of the event at 1 p.m.
