The Irvine Valley women's basketball team had its season come to an end on Thursday in the Elite 8 at the 3C2A State Women's Basketball Championship to Laney, 78-60, at College of the Sequoias in Visalia.
Irvine Valley still had quite a season under second-year head coach Claire Gocke.
The Lasers won the Orange Empire Conference, were seeded second in the SoCal Regional Playoffs and ended with a record of 26-5 overall.
