The Irvine Valley men's soccer team continued its current roll on Tuesday afternoon at home.

The Lasers out-shot Santa Ana, 17-7, scored four goals and could have had a few more in a 4-1 victory over the Dons in an Orange Empire Conference match.

Irvine Valley improved its record to 6-4-0 overall and 3-0-0 in the OEC and stayed at the top of the standings with a huge match-up coming up at Cypress on Friday.

Freshman forward Andrew Roldan, sophomore forward Armin Tehrani, sophomore forward Yahya Alsadeq and freshman forward Drew Payne each scored goals for the Lasers.

And freshman forward Jonathan Minney contributed three assists for the Lasers (to Roldan, Tehrani and Payne).

Irvine Valley scored just two minutes into the game when Minney fed Roldan and he put a ball inside the far left post.

But the game was tied at the half after Santa Ana's Ivan Torres scored in the 44th minute.

Irvine Valley put the match away in the second half with three goals.

Tehrani gave the Lasers the lead for good in the 49th minute and then it was a 3-1 lead for IVC in the 67th minute on a goal by Alsadeq.

Irvine Valley freshman goalie Sansiro Murata made three saves for the Lasers, who have won six of their last seven matches.
