Men's soccer midfield star Cade Williams is off to UC Irvine

Irvine Valley men's soccer player Cade Williams has signed with NCAA Division I UC Irvine.

The standout midfielder was named first team all-Orange Empire Conference.

He helped Irvine Valley to a 13-8-1 record overall, an Orange Empire Conference title and a trip to the 3C2A So. Cal. Regional playoffs.

Williams, from Arizona, was also selected to the United Soccer Coaches 2025 Men's Scholar All-America Team.

Student-athletes on this year's Scholar All-America Teams will be formally acknowledged for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pa., in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.

Williams played in all 22 of IVC's matches.

He started in 21 and finished with one goal and three assists on the year.

Williams is headed to a UCI squad that had a record of 11-4-6 overall, won the Big West Conference Tournament final (2-1 over UC Santa Barbara) and reached the NCAA Tournament.
