Former Irvine Valley men's soccer two-year player Jonas Foppen had a solid year for NCAA Division II Benedictine University in Mesa, Ariz. in his junior season in the fall of 2025.
Foppen, from the Netherlands, played in 24 matches over the 2023 and 2024 seasons for the Lasers and started in six matches.
The midfielder helped his team go 10-5-5 overall and 6-3-4 in Orange Empire Conference play in the 2023 season for Irvine Valley.
Foppen played in 15 matches and made four starts in the midfield for the Redhawks.
He finished with one goal and one assist for three points.
The Benedictine squad ended with a record of 10-5-5 overall and 6-3-4 in the Golden State Athletic Conference.
The Redhawks reached the second round of the GSAC tournament.
