Former Irvine Valley standout Luke Newman carried his accomplishments from his year at Irvine Valley on to NCAA Division II West Chester.
The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) released its men's soccer All-Conference selections on Wednesday afternoon.
And West Chester had four players honored, including Newman, who was named to the first team.
Newman had a tremendous first year as a Golden Ram, scoring a pair of goals and adding six assists for 10 points.
Newman, out of Santa Margarita High, was tied with Slack for the team lead in assists for much of the season before Slack earned an assist on the final goal of the regular season against Shippensburg to take a slim 7-6 lead in helpers heading into the PSAC Tournament.
In his lone season at IVC in 2024, Newman was named first team all-Orange Empire Conference.
He finished with an impressive 27 points on the year and ended the season first in the conference in assists with nine and third in total points.
Newman also scored eight goals, including four game-winning finishes for IVC.
The Lasers ended with a record of 8-12-1 overall and 6-7-1 in the Orange Empire Conference in the 2024 campaign.
