Irvine Valley's men's soccer team scored three goals in the first half and never looked back in a 4-2 Orange Empire Conference under the lights at Fullerton on Friday night.

The Lasers stayed undefeated in conference play at 6-0 and moved their overall record to 9-4.

Irvine Valley got on the board quickly.

Freshman defender Michael Baumgaertel scored on a free kick in the sixth minute to put the Lasers ahead.

In the 31st minute, freshman forward Andrew Roldan made it 2-0 with a goal off of a deflection by fellow freshman forward Jonathan Minney.

Freshman forward Drew Payne added a goal just before the half off a pass from sophomore forward Armin Tehrani to give IVC a 3-0 lead at the break.

Roldan scored his second of the match seven minutes into the second half off another assist by Tehrani for a 4-0 advantage. The two goals gave Roldan the team lead with eight.

Fullerton scored goals in the 64th minute (Jacob Leggette) and in the 84th minute (Evan Courtney) for the final 4-2 score.

Coach Conor Ward used both of his goalies in the contest with both Sansiro Murata and Kevin Refael each playing 45 minutes.

Murata didn't give up a goal and made one save and Rafael was charged with two goals and made one save.

Irvine Valley plays again next Tuesday in a conference match against Golden West at home at 3 p.m.
