Irvine Valley standout sophomore men's soccer player Armon Haghighat has transferred from NCAA Division I University of Evansville in Indiana, where he had a standout year, back to another Division I school.
The local Irvine player out of University High in Irvine, will suit up at Cal State Bakersfield in the fall of 2026.
Haghighat started two years while with Irvine Valley.
As a sophomore in 2024, he played in 21 matches and started 16 contests.
Haghighat finished with three goals and eight assists for 14 points.
He helped IVC to a record of 8-12-1 overall.
The No. 10 also had a solid freshman year. In 2023, he played in 22 matches, started 14 and ended with five goals and four assists for 14 points.
The Lasers finished with a record of 12-4-6 overall, went 7-1-6 in Orange Empire Conference play and made the So. Cal. Regional Playoffs.
He played in 43 matches in his career for the Lasers.
The forward/midfielder finished the year for the Purple Aces, playing in 18 matches with two starts and finished the year with one goal.
He helped the team end the 2025 fall campaign with a record of 7-8-5 overall.
Haghighat is headed to a Bakersfield squad that competes in the Big West Conference.
