Former Irvine Valley men's soccer player Mason Tracey stood out on and off the field this past fall in his first year at Oklahoma Christian University.
In his first season there, Tracey, a sophomore, was named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District.
To be eligible for the CSC All-District Team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and must have competed in 90 percent of the institution's matches played or have started in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches.
He was one of four Eagles to appear in all 17 games, starting 14 matches last fall.
On the field, Tracey recorded one goal and three assists on the year for NCAA Division II Oklahoma Christian, which finished with a record of 6-10-1 overall.
During the 2024 season for Irvine Valley, Tracey was named second team all-Orange Empire Conference where the Lasers went 8-10-1 overall.
He was also a scholar athlete.
Tracey had an impressive debut on the pitch for IVC.
He started 17 contests and finished with four goals and five assists for 13 points.
Tracey scored two goals in a 3-1 win on the road at Orange Coast on Nov. 12, 2024.
